QT Education is keen to recruit a part-time 0.7 qualified English teacher for an academy school in Gloucestershire. This school is within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Gloucester. This school is steeped in history, dating back to 1384. Since then, the school has come a long way and is now a highly successful 11-18, co educational school with over 1500 students. Role:
- Ability to teach English up to GCSE level
- To consistently teach lessons which engage, challenge and support all students
- Ability to design teaching materials to sustain students’ interest in the subject
- Interact with students, parents and faculty
- Facilitate classroom procedures
- Set culture standards for learning
- Monitor students’ progress in the subject
- Ability to follow planned schemes of work to a high standard
Experience, Qualifications and Training:
- We seek a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of English
- Must have QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
- Previous teaching experience
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not
- essential). Training will be provided.
- Suitable role for experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECT)

Eligibility to work in a teaching role:
- Holds Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
- Enhanced DBS certificate which is either on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for a new DBS certificate
Suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. As part of the shortlisting process an online search will be carried out. All appointments will be subject to vetting, including an enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply for a role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
