Being an NQT can be daunting and any teacher will recall their first day teaching alone as both an exciting and frightening prospect! It’s natural and so as an NQT at QT Education, you will be given lots of additional support to start your teaching career.
But there is no set path, there are several routes in to your teaching career. The vast majority of NQT’s will look for a permanent full time job, although not all teachers are successful in securing a permanent job to start from the September after they graduate. Some NQT’s may therefore fall back on day-to-day supply work or take that option to build up their experience in a range of different schools before deciding on the sort of school they might like to teach in full time.
Whichever route you take, we understand you may need an extra helping hand. That’s why our support starts long before you qualify. We get in touch with you at recruitment fairs before you graduate and that way we can keep in touch right through to your final school placement. Keeping you updated with each and every opportunity in local schools from the start of the new academic year is half the battle.
Our support does not end there though. We will help you through that first year of teaching, always on hand to provide you with reassurance, encouragement and guidance at every step of the way.
